- Full Time Nannies: Come to your home five days a week.
- Part Time Nannies: May work a few days a week, the weekend, or only a few hours each day.
- Temporary Nannies: Are available for backup childcare, mildly ill child care, date night, while parents are away from home, etc.
- Newborn Care Specialist: May work 24 hours or overnights. Generally works short term assignments from one week to a couple of months.
- Mother's Helper: A nanny or housekeeper that assists a stay at home mom.
- Tutor: An after school or summer time college student to assist child with studies for a day or more per week.
- Housekeeper: May be hired for one or more days per week or for full time positions.
- Companion: May work partial days or full time caring for a senior citizen.
- Pet Care: May stay overnight or drop in for feedings, play time and walks.
- House Sitters: May stay overnight or drop in for daily maintenance, mail pickup, watering plants, etc.
Morningside Nannies believes in complete disclosure regarding the applicant’s work history as well as our assessment of the nanny's skills. We run a background investigation on each nanny before they begin their first day caring for your child or children. You will receive a complete copy of the report for your records. Your nanny's background report will include:
- Multi-State Court Search: Accesses criminal conviction, arrest, sexual offender registry, Department of Corrections, Traffic and Administrative Court records from across the United States, and provides information on matches to the applicant.
- Identity Verification Report: Using the name, address, date of birth, and Social Security Number supplied by the applicant, the Applicant Verification Report helps verify the accuracy of the information and identify potential fraud. This report includes a Social Security Trace and National Fugitive Search.
- Harris County arrest record search.
- Harris County and surrounding counties criminal records search.
- Motor Vehicle/Driving Record (MVR) Reports: An MVR report on the applicant provides instant access to driving records and any related information.
- Personal Interview: Assesses appearance, hygiene, professionalism, personality and experience.
- CPR/First Aid: Current certifications are encouraged and will appear on the nanny’s application. We encourage all nannies to stay current in their certifications.
- Application: Covers the nanny's education, training in childcare, volunteer experience, health, family information, personality profile, outside interests, skills and availability. We will share the application with you during the search process and you will receive a complete copy of the application at the time an offer is made to the applicant.
- Testing/Skill Assessment: Determines the nanny's level of literacy, childcare skills, knowledge of child development, and first aid competency.
- Work History: Includes the previous employers' names, phone numbers and occupations. The job description includes the nanny's responsibilities, the dates of employment, the ages of the child or children cared for and the reason the job ended.
- Documentation: As the nanny’s employer you will receive a copy of the nanny's proof of eligibility to work legally in the United States, driver's license, proof of automobile insurance, and a Social Security card. Copies of these documents are included on the nanny’s application.
- Application: We will send you a copy of the nanny’s application and include all letters of recommendation.
- Nanny/Family Work Agreement: Upon hiring a nanny through Morningside we will send you a very detailed work agreement guideline and we encourage you to complete all areas. The agreement covers the nanny’s duties, work schedule, salary, benefits, conditions of employment, special considerations, etc.
